By constructing a 3,375 SF addition for patient rooms in the first phase, we were able to renovate the remaining 7,200 SF of outdated patient care rooms in two phases and maintain uninterrupted patient care throughout the project. Wanting to gain additional private patient rooms, the final plan provided for eleven private and seven semi-private rooms including one pediatric, two observation, one isolation and one bariatric room. The existing spaces were "gutted" down to the exterior walls, roof and concrete floor and rebuilt with all new HVAC, electrical, walls and finishes. The completed project maintained the excellent level of care provided while improving patient satisfaction and staff interaction utilizing remote nursing stations outside each patient room.
